Myofascial Release

Myofascial release helps to restore mobility and reduces pain by restoring flexibility to the fascia, a web-like covering of connective tissue that surrounds the structures of the body. After trauma, inflammation or repeated poor posture, the fascia can lose elasticity. The treatment, which was developed in the 1980s by John Barnes, is used to treat fibromyalgia, arthritis, and back and neck pain.
