Watsu® applies the Zen Shiatsu principles of stretching the body's meridians and applying gentle pressure to the body in a warm and comforting aquatic environment. The Watsu practitioner guides your body through a series of movements that relieve stress and physical ailments such as arthritis, low back pain, and fibromyalgia.
The pool is heated to facilitate muscle manipulation, and being held while floating takes weight off the vertebrae and allows the spine to be moved in ways that are impossible on land. The physical connection made during Watsu and soothing comfort of the water provides an emotional release.
Watsu was developed in 1980 by Harold Dull at Harbin Hot Springs in California and is practiced throughout the world by professionals who complete an extensive certification process.
Watsu sessions are held at Frasier Meadows in South Boulder. To make a Watsu appointment, please call 720-940-6822 or email email@example.com
