ABOUT GUACIRA
Guacira is a licensed massage therapist, nationally certified massage therapist, and member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She graduated from the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences in Pennsylvania with awards in myology, physiology, and anatomy. She also studied with Tina Allen from LiddleKiz® foundation and became a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist (CPMT). She is a Watsu® Practitioner recognized by the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association and studied with Harold Dull at Harbin Hot Springs in California. As a reflexologist she graduated from the International Institute of Reflexology.
After working in several spas, Guacira decided to open the Spirit In Harmony Center so that she could offer a more personalized service to match the individual needs of her clients with the belief that each client is unique and whole. The main goal is to help clients to free themselves of stress or pain, resulting in a healthier physical and emotional life. The Center was orginally opened in West Linn, Oregon and reopened in Boulder in 2015.
Guacira expanded her techniques for enhancing well-being by studying with the recognized leaders their fields. She studied Myofascial Release with John Barnes in Pennsylvania and Prenatal Massage with Carole Osborne. She is also certified in LaStone® therapy, a type of stone massage that blends hot and cold stones.
Guacira lives in Boulder, CO with her two kids and two dogs. She has a deep love for Colorado, its powerful mountains, and nature.
Before coming to the United States, Guacira lived in her homeland of Brazil, where she worked as a veterinarian at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, specializing in small animal internal medicine and surgery.
